About Us

Motihari Sports Club was established on 24th December1911 by the esteemed officers of British Era and the People of Motihari.

W.S Irwin and his wife played a vital role in its establishment. In 1925 approx. 4 acres of land was allotted to the club at chattauni,Motihari. Later on the regional officer merged the “Gate Library” in sports club which was shortly closed.

In the beginning , Only lawn tennis and football was played in this club but later on cricket,kabaddi,badminton ,field and track activities started.

In more than 100 years this club has witnessed multiple legends playing for this club and has marveled its glory to the highest.

Multiple tournaments for male and female at national and zonal levels are organized and young generation are given umpteen opportunities to light up their lives.

Many players got the opportunity in Bihar police through this club.

This club has witnessed multiple ups and downs but stands tall everytime and has been the pride of Motihari for more than a century.
